“Grateful for Nature” Walk/Hike

“Grateful for Nature” Walk/Hike, Friday, December 09, 10:00 am ‘til 12:30ish Followed by Lunch and Fellowship in Downtown Hot Springs

It looks like we will get a break from rainy, wet, and cold on Friday of this week. Currently the forecast for Friday, December 09 calls for a high of 65 degrees with partly cloudy skies.

Let’s get out and spend some time on West Mountain’s South Trail and Oak Trail. We will meet between 9:45 and 10:00 at Hill Wheatly Plaza at the corner of Central Avenue and Spring Street. From there, we will carpool to the West Mountain Summit and enjoy a beautiful section of the National Park as we walk the trails down the mountain to Central Avenue. The woods along the trail are very diverse and the views this time of year will remind us to take a moment and be grateful for the natural beauty that surrounds us.

The walk/hike will be approximately 1.75 to 2.0 miles. The trail is smooth and descending making for a great walk/hike. Once we reach Central Avenue, those that want to stay for lunch will decide where we’ll celebrate.
