DLAMN - Nature Journaling: Drawing from Nature

This session will introduce nature journaling in general and then focus on drawing from nature. We will learn a step-by-step ink and wash technique that can be used in the field or at home— suitable for beginners or those who already have some drawing experience.

No supplies are required, and the session is suitable for beginner to intermediate drawing students, ages 16 and up.  Please register through this web site. All Naturalists are encouraged to attend as opportunities using the skills in this class will be available throughout the year. The class will be held at First Presbyterian Church and will begin at 9. After lunch there will be a short hike down to Whittington Park to give you a chance to practice your new journaling skills. Don't forget that sack lunch.

Our instructor for this class is Anne Greenwood. She is an Arkansas Master Naturalist with an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Anne is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, and has taught art at Henderson State University and National Park College. She’s also a proud member of the Diamond Lakes Arkansas Master Naturalists!
