NCAMN-Wildflower Walk with Ellen and Amy - cont.ed.

This month we will go searching for early spring wildflowers and blooming trees and shrubs which are plentiful on the Cotter river trail in Cotter, AR. The trail is part sun and part shade so dress accordingly with whatever weather we are dealt that day. Bring along water, lunch, a plant id book and camera if you want. Keep watching here for driving directions and/or meet-up location and time where we can caravan to the trail head should any of you not be familiar with our local hiking trails. We will meet at Cotter Park at 10:00 am and leave most vehicles there but shuttle to the far end of the trail where most spring blooms are found then hike the 2 miles back to the park for lunch. This trail is straight and flat and a beautiful way to enjoy the White River beside us. You should get between 2-3 hours of continuing ed credit and can count your travel time as volunteer hours for the event. Contact Amy Johnson, 618-697-5587 for questions or directions. Please register at least 24 hours before March 15 and if you must cancel also unregister here or call Amy at the same number asap.
