FAMN - Native Seedling Planting Day

When:
Monday, March 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM.

Where:
We will meet Larry Price’s House: 35.279241,-93.063403 (copy and paste coordinates into Google Earth).

General Directions: From Conway, take I-40 West to Exit 84 and turn right on Bradley Cove Road (you will pass a large Flying J truck-stop on the right), approximately 1.5 miles, turn right on Old Cove Road and travel 0.3 miles and Larry’s place will be on the left. There will be a Pollinator Habitat sign at the beginning of his driveway.

Type of Project:
This project will involve the transplanting of densely planted native plants which will need to be moved into individual containers as they expand and grow. These seedlings are from species that FAMN collected (mostly) last year.

What to Bring/Wear:
Appropriate Clothing for Weather (activity will be in a shed/outdoors), Gardening shoes. Most of the equipment to use will be provided, but bringing a set of bamboo chopsticks or wooden food skewers will be of assistance (to tease the seedlings apart and place them in the cell containers).
