A Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) maintenance hike is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, at 9:00 am. We will hike sections of the trail adopted by DLAMN with the purpose of light maintenance and noting locations of downed trees for removal at a later date. This is an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, visit with friends and log some volunteer hours.

Meet at the Avery Recreation Area just below Blakely Dam. As you travel towards Blakely Dam from Mountain Pine you will cross below the dam. The road makes a sharp left turn after crossing the dam. After a short distance, look for the Avery Recreation Area sign on your left.

Dress appropriately with good sturdy hiking boots/shoes. Bring water, a snack and a bag for any litter we find along the trail.
