FAMN - Native Plant Transplanting Party

Tuesday, 02 May, 2023 at 1:30 PM.

Larry Price’s House: 35.279241,-93.063403 (copy and paste coordinates into Google Earth).

Type of Project:
This project will involve the transplanting of native seedlings into larger individual containers as they expand and grow. These seedlings are from species that FAMN collected (mostly) last year. They will be used for Native Plant Propagation Projects this year.

General Directions:
From Conway, take I-40 West to Exit 84 and turn right on Bradley Cove Road (you will pass a large Flying J truck-stop on the right), approximately 1.5 miles, turn right on Old Cove Road and travel 0.3 miles and Larry’s place will be on the left. There will be a Pollinator Habitat sign at the beginning of his driveway.

What to Bring/Wear:
Appropriate Clothing for Weather (activity will be in a shed/outdoors), Gardening shoes. Most of the equipment to use will be provided, but bringing a set of bamboo chopsticks or wooden food skewers will be of assistance (to tease the seedlings apart and place them in the cell containers).

If you would like to carpool/caravan from Conway, contact Robert Fuhler via email or at 501.733.4019 at least 1 day prior to the event to coordinate.
