There will be a presentation at the DLMN monthly meeting on Feb. 8 on plant identification. We'll look more at how to make an id over trying to learn characteristics of a number of individual plant species. We might see if we can identify a number of candy bars using a set of keys similar to that used in plant (and all living things) identification. You will be pleased to know that the guest speaker for this event will be Carl Linnaeus the noted Swedish botanist who... wait!! I'm now told he will not be available this day as he died in 1778. We'll have to make do with local talent.. such as it is!
