DLAMN - Intro to Birding

For those who would like to know more about our local feathered friends, "Introduction to Birding" is a good place to begin. Traveling to exotic destinations isn't the only way to watch interesting animals. There are many fascinating wildlife experiences that can happen close to home. This class will provide a sampling of facts and photos to show some of the many bird species that may be in Arkansas. We will provide a glimpse of those possibilities in a very condensed presentation. Useful apps and equipment relative to birding will also be discussed. A walk & talk will also be available if the weather permits.
Our class will be taught by Master Naturalist (emphasis on Master) Belinda Jonak. We will meet at 1st Presbyterian Church at 9 am, on Saturday, March 9th. You will want to wear comfortable hiking shoes, bring some water, and perhaps a pair of binoculars should we get the chance to stroll down Whittington Ave. This class will earn you 3 hours of NIT training or continuing education. Remember to log you hours and milage.
